Abstract

  The aggregate of the natural seismic phenomena is considered as a point
random process. The theory of point processes is set forth and the
possibilities of extrapolation of the process are examined. Different types of
processes which can serve as approximations to the real seismic regime, are
investigated; the model of a branching process is described in a more detailed
way. The possibilities of a statistical study of the different parameters of
the process are discussed. (12 References).
