Los Angeles Basin Passive Seismic Experiment:
An array of 18 seismometers which form a line across the Los Angeles Basin, from Seal Beach, northeast through Azusa to the San Gabriel Mountains.  The experiment runs from March to November of 1997, and is primarily concerned with picking up global teleseismic events, as well as local events.

Los Angeles Region Seismmic Experiment (Phase II):
Data and conclusions from LARSE, have lead to a logical next step. Site and shot-point locations for phase 2 of the experiment are already being solidified, with the help of the U. S. Geological Survey (Menlo Park). This experiment is scheduled for starting in the fall of 1998.

Continental Rift Zones:
This is an on-going project, analysing and comparing seismic data from the East African, Baikal, and Rio Grande rift zones. So far, much has been learned about the structure and tectonics of continental rifts.
